Administration - Checking in dogs/cats, greeting and assisting pet owners, paperwork and data entry.
Dog or Cat Recovery Care Team - Monitoring and comforting dogs or cats in the post surgery recovery room.
Surgery Room Assistant - Prepping dogs and cats for surgery or helping in immediate post surgery area.
Clean up- It is important after a big day that our clinics are kept clean and tidy! We need a special clean up team to clean cages, sweep, vacuum etc.
Outreach Volunteer - Help in handing out flyers in various neighborhoods, posting in laundry mats, grocery stores, street signs etc.
Spanish Translator - We are in need of a bilingual volunteer to help in promoting spay/neuter services to the Hispanic areas of Kansas City . We need help with flyers, forms and making appointments.
Breakfast and Lunch Coordinators- Our clinic must feed nearly 70 volunteers and veterinarians both breakfast and lunch. This group is responsible for coordinating pot luck or catered meals.
Rabies Clinic Events- These clinics are held in various areas of the city and typically only run for 2 hours. Various duties include: Administration, Marketing, Pet Owner Education, Traffic Control, Veterinary Assisting, Spanish Translators.

Leadership Volunteer Positions With SNKC
Spay and Neuter Kansas City is seeking volunteers to fill official leadership positions with our organization. These are volunteer positions that will help SNKC help more animals as well as increase public awareness.
We are looking for one leader for each program and volunteer members to help support that leader. We are seeking dependable, outgoing, self-starting leaders ready to jump in and make a difference! We need individuals willing to take these specifics tasks over for us. SNKC will help provide volunteer support to you as well as assist in outlining some goals and objectives.
Volunteer leaders will be listed on our website as primary contact person for these areas and are expected to attend organizational meetings with staff to report progress and share ideas. Event Booth Coordinator. This person will be in charge of designing and putting together an educational booth including SNKC literature, t-shirts, donation jars, educational material and banners. The ideal leader will make arrangements and set up this booth at various events with a primary goal of increasing public awareness on spay and neutering and our organization.
Wish List Coordinator. This person will keep our wishlist updated, coordinate donor drives from the wish list and will help solicit needed items from local businesses. Marketing and Flyer Distribution Coordinator- This person will be in charge of coordinating efforts for flyer distribution and marketing efforts for rabies clinics and special events.
Neighborhood Association Spokesperson . This person will be in charge of attending neighborhood association meetings and other community meetings to address pet overpopulation and other animal related concerns in those communities as well as the solutions to some of those problems.
Rabies Clinic Coordinator. This person will be in charge of setting up and operating the Kansas side rabies clinics. They are responsible setting up the clinic's necessities, coordinating volunteers and supervising the clinic activities for that day.
